Xbox Wants Your Attention Everywhere. The Latest Partner Preview Shows How.
Xbox used its latest Partner Preview to hammer home a simple message. It is no longer just about the console.
Five new games, three fresh releases, and a raft of platform upgrades were unveiled in a brisk half-hour showcase that doubled down on the idea that Xbox titles should follow players across every device they own.
The broadcast opened with the world premiere of Armatus, a third-person action roguelike from Fictions, and wrapped with Raji: Kaliyuga, a sequel to the 2020 title Raji.
Both arrive day one on Game Pass Ultimate, as does the third newly announced title. Nine featured games in total will hit the subscription service on launch.
DLC news featured prominently. Dave the Diver picked up a new expansion, while Hitman: World of Assassination debuted its Eminem Elusive Target mission, a crossover designed to generate maximum meme-velocity across gaming forums.
Xbox also used the event to push deeper into handheld and hybrid hardware. The full-screen mode first introduced on the ASUS ROG Xbox Ally becomes available across all gaming handhelds on 21 November.
Microsoft says it will extend the feature to additional Windows 11 PC form factors soon through the Xbox and Windows Insider programmes.
Every game shown supports Xbox Play Anywhere, meaning players can move seamlessly between console, PC, and supported handheld devices. It is a clear sign of where the Xbox strategy is heading.
The platform is becoming less tied to a box under the TV and more invested in stitching together a wider ecosystem that follows players wherever they choose to play.
