Xbox to host developer summit at GDC with sessions on machine learning and DirectX
Microsoft says the event will feature speakers from Activision, Bethesda, Blizzard and King alongside Xbox and Windows teams
Microsoft will host an Xbox Dev Summit and a series of sponsored sessions at the Game Developers Conference (GDC) Festival of Gaming, running from 9 to 13 March in San Francisco.
The company said in a blog post that the summit will take place in West Hall and feature six sponsored sessions aimed at helping developers "build for what's next."
Scheduled sessions across the week include a Machine Learning Forum on Monday morning, a DirectX State of the Union on Wednesday and a session titled "Press Start: Get Your PC Game Ready for Xbox in One Day," also on Wednesday.
Microsoft said speakers will be drawn from Xbox, Windows, Activision, Bethesda, Blizzard and King, spanning several of the company's major gaming studios.
"The future of Xbox starts now," wrote Bryce Baer, senior director of Xbox ecosystem marketing.
The company said remote attendees can access materials and livestream details through its Game Development Resource Hub and the Game Developers Conference 2026 Hub.
Microsoft described GDC as an opportunity to showcase the Xbox developer experience and collaborate with partners across the gaming industry.
