Let's take a closer week-by-week look at what's coming to Disney+ in January.
January 1–5: Franchise-fueled start to 2026
Disney+ opens the year by leaning heavily into legacy appeal. On January 1, the complete Indiana Jones film collection arrives, giving subscribers a ready-made marathon of Lucasfilm’s iconic adventure franchise. The week then broadens out with a mix of family films and nature-led storytelling, including The Big Year and Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children on January 2.
National Geographic adds momentum with Cheetahs Up Close with Bertie Gregory, a frontline look at cheetahs during the Serengeti migration, while January 4 brings a full-season drop of Incredible Northern Vets Season 2. Hulu crossover content continues to roll weekly, with I AM BOXER launching another episode on January 5.
January 6–12: New originals takeover
Mid-January marks a noticeable shift toward originals and episodic momentum. Percy Jackson and the Olympians Season 2 continues its weekly rollout, while Hulu’s Made in Korea deepens its 1970s political thriller arc. January 9 is a particularly strong release day, led by the Sundance-style drama The Tale of Silyan and a new season of the playful short-form hit Theme Song Takeover.
Family and animation fans are also well served, with Marvel’s Spidey and His Amazing Friends Season 4 dropping new episodes and Hulu’s The Artful Dodger landing in full on January 10. The week closes with another I AM BOXER installment on January 12, keeping the competitive reality format in steady rotation.
January 13–19: Family and exploration
The third week of January balances prestige documentary, kids’ programming, and returning franchises. Pole to Pole with Will Smith arrives on January 14 as a full-series drop, offering a globe-spanning National Geographic production that blends exploration, science, and environmental storytelling. The same day also introduces Hey A.J!, a new music-infused family comedy inspired by Martellus Bennett.
Animation dominates the latter half of the week, with Phineas and Ferb Season 5 continuing, America’s Funniest Home Videos adding new seasons, and Playdate with Winnie the Pooh returning with short-form episodes for younger viewers. Another episode of I AM BOXER lands on January 19, maintaining Hulu’s presence within the Disney+ ecosystem.
January 20–26: Superheroes and shorts
This week leans into recognizable IP and bite-sized content. Percy Jackson continues its weekly cadence on January 21, followed by the arrival of Venom: Let There Be Carnage on January 22, adding a darker Marvel title to the library. January 23 sees fresh episodes of Minnie’s Bow-Toons: Pet Hotel, expanding Disney Junior’s short-form slate.
On January 26, I AM BOXER returns once more, closing out another competitive chapter as Disney+ and Hulu continue to align their weekly release rhythms.
Week of January 27–30: Marvel, preschool fun
The final few days of the month are anchored by Marvel Studios’ Wonder Man, which premieres January 27 with all episodes available at launch. The series offers a meta-take on superhero storytelling, framed through Hollywood ambition and performance.
