Udemy is rolling out an AI-powered microlearning experience intended to change how skills are developed on its platform.

According to the company, the feature is powered by Udemy AI and will let instructors quickly review, edit, create or approve microlearning content and activities derived from their courses using a “human-in-the-loop” approach before content reaches learners.

The experience will include instructor AI tools, adaptive AI-sequenced lessons that mix short videos and quizzes, instructor-validated quality controls, and context-aware interactions tied to learners’ background and goals. “At Udemy, instructors are central to how skills are developed on our platform,” said Hugo Sarrazin, President and CEO at Udemy. “AI enables us to adapt and scale their expertise, while our platform provides the context needed to personalize each experience and meet learners’ evolving needs,” Hugo Sarrazin said.

The company said instructor-validated microlearning will be delivered on Udemy.com, through Udemy’s mobile app, and in enterprise environments via Udemy’s Model Context Protocol (MCP) Server. Udemy previewed the experience at its Front Row event and said it will roll out in phases throughout 2026; instructors can visit the company’s Front Row page to express interest.

The Recap

  • Udemy launches AI-powered microlearning to evolve skills mastery.
  • Instructor-validated microlearning delivered via web, app, and MCP Server.
  • Phased rollout scheduled to take place throughout 2026.
