Despite the pushback, the public has voted emphatically with its clicks, streams and screens, and the verdict is not close.

Bad Bunny's performance at the Apple Music Super Bowl LX Halftime Show generated 4.157 billion views within 24 hours across global broadcast, YouTube and social platforms, according to a joint announcement from Roc Nation, Apple Music and the NFL.

President Donald Trump called the show "an affront to the Greatness of America," Republican lawmakers demanded FCC investigations, and Turning Point USA staged a rival "All-American Halftime Show" headlined by Kid Rock as counterprogramming. The FCC reviewed the broadcast and found no violations, concluding that any explicit lyrics had been removed before air.

The figure places the show among the most-watched entertainment events in recent memory, eclipsing the already enormous audiences that have come to define the Super Bowl halftime slot in the streaming era.

Apple Music reported that listens to Bad Bunny surged seven times immediately after the performance, with "DtMF," "BAILE INoLVIDABLE" and "Tití Me Preguntó" among the most-streamed tracks.

The Apple Music Halftime Show Set List became the platform's most-played set list of all time.

On Apple Music's Daily Top 100 Global chart, Bad Bunny placed 24 songs, including nine in the Top 25 and six in the Top 10, with "DtMF" reaching the number one position worldwide.

His 2025 album DeBÍ TiRAR MáS FOToS subsequently charted in 155 countries, reached the Top 10 in 128 of them, and claimed the number one spot in 46, including Mexico, Colombia, Chile, Brazil, Germany, France and Spain.

Social media metrics underscored the cultural scale of the moment, with the performance generating 2 billion impressions on X, 209 million video views and more than 6 million Bad Bunny-related posts, representing a 409% year-over-year increase in posts during the halftime window.

The NFL reported that fans spent the equivalent of more than 1,275 years watching halftime content across its owned platforms, comprising 456 years across Facebook, Instagram and TikTok, and 822 years on YouTube.

Billboard described the set as a performance in which Bad Bunny "turns the world into his Casita," noting that the global superstar "called for unity" throughout the show.

The performance marks a landmark moment in a career that has reshaped Latin music's standing in mainstream American culture.

Born Benito Antonio Martínez Ocasio in Vega Baja, Puerto Rico, Bad Bunny rose from bagging groceries while uploading tracks to SoundCloud to become one of the best-selling music artists in the world, with multiple years atop Spotify's global most-streamed artist rankings.

His selection as halftime headliner, managed through Jay-Z's entertainment company Roc Nation, which has overseen NFL entertainment partnerships since 2019, was widely read as a statement of intent by the league about the centrality of Latino audiences to its future growth strategy.

The Super Bowl LX game was played in Santa Clara, California, and the halftime show's blend of reggaeton, trap and Latin pop drew on imagery rooted in Puerto Rican identity, a deliberate artistic choice that resonated far beyond the stadium.

The recap

  • Bad Bunny's halftime show drew 4.157 billion views in 24 hours.
  • Apple Music listens surged 7x immediately after the performance.
  • Bad Bunny placed 24 songs in Apple Music's Daily Top 100 Global chart.
