Spotify is rolling out Smart Reorder, a one‑tap tool that rearranges mixed playlists by BPM and key for Premium users to improve track-to-track transitions.
The feature builds on Spotify’s playlist mixing controls introduced last year; since that launch, Premium users have streamed over 220 million hours of their mixed playlists, the company said in a statement.
"It’s never been easier to customize your Spotify listening experience," the company said in a statement. Users tap Mix on a playlist, then tap Edit to find Smart Reorder; tracks are reordered using BPM and key so transitions sound more seamless.
