ServiceNow integrates Claude AI across platform to drive enterprise automation
Anthropic partnership embeds model at scale, targeting healthcare, life sciences and developer productivity
ServiceNow has embedded Claude, the generative artificial intelligence model developed by Anthropic, across its AI platform to support application development and automation of mission-critical enterprise workflows.
The US-based enterprise automation company said Claude will serve as the default model powering ServiceNow Build Agent, a tool that allows developers to create and deploy autonomous workflows that can reason, act and execute without human intervention.
ServiceNow said the model has been deployed to more than 29,000 employees and is in use across engineering teams via Claude Code. Early results show a reduction of up to 95% in seller preparation time, according to the company.
“ServiceNow with Anthropic is turning intelligence into action through AI-native workflows for the world’s largest enterprises,” said Bill McDermott, chairman and chief executive of ServiceNow.
The company expects usage of Build Agent to quadruple over the next year and is targeting a 50% reduction in implementation time for customers.
Claude is now available as a preferred model across the entire ServiceNow AI Platform, in line with the company’s strategy of offering model choice to enterprise clients.
Anthropic chief executive and co-founder Dario Amodei said: “A common error enterprises make with AI is to treat it as a kind of 'bolt on' tool that you access now and then. But the way to get much better results is to make AI an integral part of how you get work done — woven into the whole range of things workers do every day. That's where you actually start to see what these systems can do, and it's what we're doing in our partnership with ServiceNow.”
