Scale introduces 2025 SEAL Models of the Year
The inaugural awards cover six categories
Scale is introducing the first SEAL Models of the Year Awards to recognise top-performing AI models in 2025.
The company said in a statement the awards are based entirely on results from its SEAL Leaderboards and SEAL Showdown, which measure model abilities in reasoning, agentic workflows, multimodal inputs, and safety alignment.
According to the release, Scale added 15 new benchmarks in 2025 and published more than 450 evals across more than 50 models to underpin the leaderboards and comparisons.
The inaugural awards cover six categories: Best Composite Performance, Best Reasoning, Best Safety, Best Multimodal, Best Agentic, and People’s Favorite. The company said each category maps to specific SEAL Leaderboards or SEAL Showdown results and that models received scores based on placement, with the highest-scoring model in each category named the winner.
The company congratulated the winning teams and said it looks forward to developments in 2026.
