Samsung and Nvidia have each made strategic investments in Skild AI, a US company developing robotics software powered by a AI.

Skild AI aims to create general-purpose robotics systems that can operate a wide range of machines, from home assistants to drones, under a unified framework.

With the backing from major chipmakers and electronics firms like Samsung and Nvidia, the technology company secures significant validation as well as an injection of funds.

Samsung reportedly invested around $10 million whilst Nvidia chipped in $25 million, with both firms participating a larger round led by Japanese investor SoftBank. The funding set a new $4.5 billion valuation for Skild.
