Sabre, the travel technology provider, PayPal, the digital payments company, and Mindtrip, an AI travel platform, have announced a strategic partnership to create a conversational booking system that combines artificial intelligence with enterprise travel infrastructure and digital payments.

The companies said travellers will be able to interact with an AI-powered assistant on Mindtrip to describe destinations, timing, budgets and preferences in plain language, receive personalised options, refine recommendations through conversation, complete bookings and pay without leaving the experience.

Sabre will provide real-time shopping, pricing, availability, booking and servicing capabilities, while PayPal's digital wallet will handle identity verification and in-experience checkout.

Mindtrip's platform will act as a continuous guide throughout the journey, evolving as travellers refine their preferences.

"We believe consumer behaviour will continue to shift towards conversational commerce, and we see our role as helping the travel industry seize this opportunity," said Garry Wiseman, chief product and technology officer at Sabre, adding that "the full potential of agentic AI for travel can only be realised at scale when it's connected to enterprise-grade technology capable of handling real-world complexity."

The initial launch will support flights, with hotels to follow as part of a phased rollout.

Mindtrip will draw on content from Sabre Mosaic, which includes more than 420 airlines, among them 150 low-cost carriers, and over two million lodging options.

The Recap

  • Sabre, PayPal and Mindtrip form agentic AI travel partnership.
  • Product set to launch in Q2 2026, initial support flights.
  • Hotels will be added later in a phased rollout.
