Prophet Security has announced strategic investments from Amex Ventures and Citi Ventures to accelerate the deployment of its agentic artificial intelligence security operations centre (SOC) platform, which automates threat investigation, detection engineering and incident response workflows for enterprise security teams.

The company said Fortune 500 organisations across financial services, healthcare, manufacturing, technology and media are using the platform and reporting measurable performance gains, including zero minutes of alert dwell time, a mean time to respond of four minutes, 98.5% fewer false positives when used alongside existing security tools, and a tenfold increase in team productivity.

Prophet said the platform operates alongside human analysts rather than replacing them, handling manual and time-sensitive tasks that would otherwise consume analyst capacity.

Kamal Shah, co-founder and chief executive of Prophet Security, said bad actors were already using AI to launch complex attacks at greater speed, and that agentic AI gave security teams a means to respond in kind.

Kevin Weber, managing director at Amex Ventures, said the volume of data, alerts and operational pressure facing security teams made the case for AI-driven uplift of analyst workflows compelling.

The investment comes amid broader industry movement toward AI-assisted security operations.

Gartner, the global research and advisory firm, has noted rising adoption of AI SOC agent technologies and forecast that by 2027, 25% of common SOC tasks will become 50% more cost-efficient through automation and hyperscaling strategies.

The company did not disclose the size of the investment or the resulting valuation.

Prophet Security said the funding would be used to accelerate access to its platform for SOC teams globally and directed prospective customers to its website at prophetsecurity.ai
