Prime Video counts seven Golden Globe nominations
Prime Video and Amazon MGM are in the hat for as many as seven Golden Globes when the awards event takes place in January.
Seven of Amazon's Prime Video titles and projects from Amazon MGM Studios have been nominated among the Golden Globe Foundation's list of nominees for this year.
The nominations cover film and television categories and include performances by Julia Roberts, Tessa Thompson and Robin Wright.
Amazon, in a post celebrating the nominations, highlighted that subscribers can stream or preorder several of the nominated titles on Prime Video.
Among dramatic film nominees, Julia Roberts was recognized for After the Hunt, which is currently available on Prime Video, and Tessa Thompson was nominated for Hedda, a Prime Original from Amazon MGM Studios.
'It Was Just an Accident', an Iranian movie that's drawing critical acclaim, received four nominations and Sentimental Value, a Nordic comedy-drama, received nine nominations.
Among its shows, the streamer's psychological thriller The Girlfriend received two nominations, including one for lead actor Robin Wright.
The Golden Globes nominee list also names performances across other series, including Kathy Bates in Matlock, Helen Mirren in MobLand and Bella Ramsey in The Last of Us.
The Golden Globe awards event is scheduled to take place on 11 January, in Los Angeles.
