Payward, the crypto exchange, said in an announcement that it welcomes the White House’s national artificial intelligence legislative framework and supports a clear, consistent federal approach to AI policy in the United States.

The company said the framework, unveiled today, sets guiding principles intended to ensure national consistency and remove the risk of conflicting state-level rules that could slow deployment, raise costs, and hinder U.S. firms from building and scaling globally.

Arjun Sethi, Co-CEO of Payward, framed the issue as infrastructure rather than an application. “AI is not an application layer technology. It is becoming a foundational infrastructure layer, analogous to compute, networking, and financial rails,” said Arjun Sethi, Co-CEO of Payward. Payward argued a coherent U.S. regulatory system is necessary to avoid fragmented jurisdictions that degrade performance and delay time to market.

“At scale, fragmentation is not just a regulatory issue. It becomes a chokepoint on system performance, introducing friction across deployment, data, and capital allocation,” Sethi continued. The company praised the Trump Administration’s approach to AI governance and said a unified federal standard will remove overhead that could slow AI-powered financial services, tokenised assets, and secure digital infrastructure.

Payward said it remains committed to responsible innovation at the intersection of artificial intelligence, blockchain, and finance and looks forward to collaborating with policymakers, industry partners, and other stakeholders to implement the framework.
