Palo Alto Networks, the US cybersecurity company, has launched Unit 42 Managed XSIAM 2.0, a managed security operations centre (SOC) service that combines continuous expert monitoring with a guaranteed 250 hours of breach response support.
The service is built on Cortex XSIAM, Palo Alto's AI-driven SOC platform, and is designed to help organisations respond more quickly as attackers compress the time between initial access and damage.
Unit 42, the company's threat intelligence and incident response division, will handle security engineering, threat hunting and around-the-clock platform optimisation on behalf of customers.
The service supports third-party endpoint detection and response (EDR) tools and existing SOC infrastructure, while offering customers an optional migration path to Palo Alto's own Cortex XDR platform.
Karim Temsamani, president of next-generation security at Palo Alto Networks, said the breach response guarantee reflected confidence in both the platform and the team behind it.
Craig Robinson, research vice president for security services at analyst firm IDC, said organisations relying on isolated tools or traditional SOC models were poorly positioned against modern threats, and that effective security required a combination of AI-driven automation and experienced human analysts.
