OpenAI has appointed Arvind KC as chief people officer, giving him responsibility for hiring, onboarding, development, and the internal systems that support how the company operates.
KC joins from senior people and engineering leadership roles at Roblox, Google, Palantir Technologies and Meta.
His appointment comes as OpenAI continues to expand rapidly and as artificial intelligence reshapes how organisations structure work and manage teams.
KC said the role arrives at a moment of broad organisational change: "Every organisation is being asked to rethink how work happens, what teams need, how people grow, and how to adapt as the tools change."
Fidji Simo, chief executive of applications at OpenAI, said the company wants its internal processes to reflect its wider ambitions.
