NVIDIA launches native GeForce NOW app for Linux
Cloud gaming service brings RTX 5080 performance to Ubuntu users with up to 5K resolution and 360 fps streaming
NVIDIA has launched a native GeForce NOW application for Linux, allowing cloud-streamed GeForce RTX gaming on Ubuntu 24.04 and later.
The company said the app supports PC titles streamed from the cloud at up to 5K resolution and 120 frames per second, or 1080p at 360 fps. Rendering runs in the cloud, enabling features such as ray tracing and DLSS 4, delivering RTX 5080-class performance to Linux users.
GeForce NOW on Linux joins a family of native apps already available on Windows, macOS, Chromebooks, mobile devices and smart TVs.
