Nexo and Australian Open serve up crypto partnership
Nexo has signed a multi-year global deal to become the Official Crypto Partner of the Australian Open and the Summer of Tennis.
Nexo, the digital assets specialist, has signed a multi-year global partnership with Tennis Australia to serve as the Official Crypto Partner for the Australian Open and the Summer of Tennis, including associated lead-up events.
In an annoucement, Nexo said the agreement covers the Australian Open, the United Cup, the Adelaide International, the Brisbane International and the Hobart International, and represents the first time a digital asset company has partnered with a Grand Slam tournament.
The company said Nexo branding will appear in the Nexo Coaches Pod and on on-court coaching areas at Rod Laver Arena, Margaret Court Arena, John Cain Arena and Kia Arena.
“The Australian Open stands at the intersection of excellence and ambition - precisely where Nexo positions itself," said Nexo co-founder Antoni Trenchev.
"Our partnership reflects a shared commitment to disciplined performance and long-term thinking. We are honored to join Tennis Australia in elevating the sport while showcasing the value of intelligent digital tools to a global audience.”
Cedric Cornelis, Tennis Australia chief commercial officer, added: “We’re excited to welcome Nexo to the Australian Open family.”
It comes as Nexo is continuing to elevate its visibility through a number of similar efforts. In 2025 Nexo became the Official Digital Wealth Platform of the DP World Tour, the Official Partner of the Acapulco Tennis Open, and the Official Crypto Partner of the Mifel Tennis Open.
Nexo highlighted it presently has some $11 billion in assets under management, and has handled over $371 billion of assets to date.
