Netflix has announced a £1 million donation to the National Film and Television School to create a new creativity hub, The Netflix Lounge, at the school’s Beaconsfield campus.
The gift sits within Generation N, Netflix’s UK skills and talent programme, which the company says brings its work with film schools, charities and industry bodies under one banner.
Netflix said in a statement the Netflix Lounge will "sit at the heart of the School’s expanded campus" and act as a hub for collaboration between students, alumni and visiting filmmakers; the wider campus expansion will increase student capacity by 25%.
Ted Sarandos, Co-CEO of Netflix, said: "We’re proud to have been part of the UK’s creative community for more than 12 years, and we remain deeply committed to supporting the next generation of storytellers.
