MetaMask has integrated Ondo Global Markets into its mobile wallet, giving eligible users in supported non‑US jurisdictions access to tokenised versions of US stocks, exchange-traded funds (ETFs), and commodities.

The new feature allows users to buy, hold, and trade over 200 tokenised assets, including Tesla, NVIDIA, Apple, Microsoft, Amazon, and ETFs like SLV, IAU and QQQ—without the need for a traditional brokerage account.

Tokens can be acquired through MetaMask Swaps using USDC on the Ethereum mainnet. Trading is available 24 hours a day, five days a week, from Sunday evening through Friday evening, and the tokens remain transferable around the clock.

“Access to US markets still runs through legacy rails,” said Joe Lubin, CEO of Consensys and co-founder of Ethereum. “Bringing Ondo’s tokenised US stocks and ETFs directly into MetaMask shows what a better model looks like, a single, self-custodial wallet where people can move between crypto and traditional assets without intermediaries and without giving up control.”

Ondo Finance president Ian De Bode said the move brings traditional asset economics into the crypto-native experience. “By integrating Ondo Global Markets, MetaMask can offer its users access to tokenised US stocks and ETFs with pricing that reflects traditional brokerage markets,” he said.

The integration is currently live on MetaMask Mobile for users in eligible jurisdictions. Excluded regions include the United States, United Kingdom, Canada, China, the European Economic Area, and several others due to regulatory restrictions.

Ondo noted that its tokens provide economic exposure to the value of the underlying assets, including dividends, but are not themselves stocks or ETFs and do not confer shareholder rights. The tokens are not registered under the US Securities Act and may only be offered to qualified investors in certain regions.

The Recap

  • MetaMask adds Ondo tokenised US stocks, ETFs, commodities.
  • More than 200 tokenised US securities available on Ethereum.
  • Trading available 24 hours a day, five days a week.
