Meta expands real-time news content in Meta AI
Meta is adding more real-time news and lifestyle content sources to Meta AI.
Meta is expanding Meta AI to surface a broader range of real-time content, including global news, entertainment and lifestyle stories, the social media company said on Friday.
The move is intended to give people more timely and relevant information, Meta said.
In the program's first step, Meta is partnering with outlets like CNN, Fox News, Fox Sports, Le Monde Group, the People Inc. portfolio of media brands, The Daily Caller, The Washington Examiner, USA TODAY and the USA TODAY Network.
Meta said the new integrations will make it easier to access information by linking to partners’ websites while “providing value to partners, enabling them to reach new audiences.”
Meta said it plans to keep adding new content sources and features over time, with the goal of offering “something for everyone” and improving Meta AI’s responsiveness, accuracy and balance by incorporating a wider variety of viewpoints and content types.
The company added that it will continue to experiment with different Meta AI experiences as its products evolve. And, will share further updates as it broadens Meta AI’s capabilities and content partnerships.
