Medical note-making AI startup Abridge valued at $5.3bn
Abridge, a healthcare startup working on AI note-maker for doctors, has been valued at $5.3 billion in a new funding.
The Pittsburgh-based company raised $300 million in the Series E round.
Abridge is developing AI to automate clinical documentation, and it intends to use the proceeds to expand its product offering and grow its workforce.
The tech platform listens to medical conversations and produces structured documentation and billing codes in real time, saving admin time and cost in the expensive US healthcare system.
The firm presently serves over 150 enterprise health systems and expects to support more than 50 million medical conversations in 2025.
The new funding round was led by Andreessen Horowitz, with participation from Khosla Ventures and other backers.
