Manchester City, the Premier League football club, is launching a new Abu Dhabi based real estate development venture - led by UAE property firm Ohana Development.

Ohana's Manchester City Yas Residences is slated to be a $4.1 billion, gated waterfront community on Yas Canal in Abu Dhabi.

The project was unveiled on Tuesday at Etihad Park, in the presence of Husein Salem, CEO, and Mustafa El Sammak, COO, of Ohana Development, and Ferran Soriano, CEO of City Football Group.

The property development spans 1.67 million square metres and will offer over 2,000 residential units, including six villa clusters of 4- and 5-bedroom villas and twin villas, plus maisonettes, waterfront penthouses and apartments, Ohana revealed.

Average prices for standalone villas are expected at $1.9 million, with completion scheduled for 2029.

The Abu Dhabi-owned Manchester club is set to be central to several themed elements across the exclusive gated community.

According to design details shared on Tuesday, at the project’s core is an integrated Manchester City Academy with elite training and recovery facilities aligned with the club’s approach to player development.

A waterfront promenade along the canal will include curated retail, dining and lifestyle destinations such as the City Café, plus the Match Day Terrace, the City Lounge and immersive experiences.

“The launch of Manchester City Yas Residences by Ohana reflects our continued commitment to delivering landmark developments from our home base in Abu Dhabi," said Husein Salem, Ohana CEO.

"The project underscores our long-term dedication to the emirate and our ambition to contribute to its global prominence through thoughtfully designed, future-ready communities.”

The plan also includes a marina sports club and water-sports facilities with kayaking, paddleboarding and sailing, along with resort-style amenities such as advanced fitness centres and infinity pools.
