Lovable is expanding its use of Stripe to support its growth, adopting payments, subscriptions and usage-based billing for new services.

In an announcement, the payments platform said Lovable first used the Stripe Billing service right after launch, to set up and manage simple subscriptions, and later expanded billing to support two new services: Lovable Cloud and Lovable AI.

Lovable, a Sweden-based 'vibe coding' app builder, uses Stripe Billing to charge customers based on AI token consumption, once free thresholds in subscription plans are exceeded, enabling payments from more than 150 countries across more than 125 local payment methods.

“We built Lovable so that the 99 percent of people who can’t code can turn ideas into working software," Lovable CEO Anton Osika said.

"Stripe has been a partner from day one, powering seamless payments and billing globally for us and our fast- growing builder ecosystem. This lets our team stay laser-focused on scaling the impact that individuals and major enterprises get with our platform.”

Stripe’s consumer wallet now drives 58% of Lovable’s payment volume, it added. The vibe coding platform also used Stripe Atlas (which helps non-US founders to enter the US market) ahead of its global launch.

The Recap

  • Lovable expanded use of Stripe for payments and billing.
  • Lovable accepts payments across more than 150 countries.
  • Lovable adopted usage-based billing for Lovable Cloud and Lovable AI.
