LG Electronics and the musician and entrepreneur will.i.am are expanding their partnership with the launch of four new xboom speakers that use artificial intelligence to tailor sound, lighting and music selection across party, home and outdoor settings.

The products will be unveiled at CES 2026 in Las Vegas, where LG said the speakers would demonstrate how AI-driven personalisation is becoming central to consumer audio.

The expanded xboom range integrates FYI.RAiDiO, an AI-powered music platform co-created with will.i.am, which features ten AI Personas and DJs. The system supports two-way conversational interactions and provides real-time music curation and location-aware personalisation through a dedicated MY Button on the speakers or via the FYI.RAiDiO app.

LG said the new models are designed to adapt automatically to different environments, whether used indoors, at social gatherings or outdoors, using a combination of software and hardware features.

The four speakers, Stage 501, Blast, Mini and Rock, include AI Sound, AI Lighting and Space Calibration Pro, which adjusts audio output based on the surrounding space.

Stage 501 is positioned as the flagship model. It includes an AI Karaoke Master trained on more than 10,000 songs and can remove or adjust vocals and pitch in real time. The speaker offers up to 25 hours of playback using a 99Wh swappable battery and delivers up to 220W of output when plugged in, or 160W when running on battery power.

“We are turning sound into a living, learning experience,” said will.i.am.

The Blast model is aimed at outdoor use. It provides up to 35 hours of playback on a 99Wh battery, delivers 220W of output and uses three passive radiators to boost low frequencies. The design includes rugged edge bumpers and a side rope handle intended for portability and durability.

Mini targets more compact use cases. It offers up to 10 hours of playback in a cube-shaped design and includes Sound Field Enhance technology, IP67-rated dust and water resistance, a Magic Strap and a tripod mount.

Rock is positioned as the most rugged of the range. It also provides up to 10 hours of playback, meets seven military durability standards, increases output power to 6W and supports LE Audio Auracast. It includes a smart button designed to provide quick access to app-based controls.

LG said the xboom by will.i.am products will roll out in global markets in 2026. The speakers will be on display at the company’s CES booth, number 15004, from January 6 to 9.

The launch underscores LG’s push to differentiate its consumer audio products through software and AI features, as competition intensifies in the portable speaker market and manufacturers look to add services and personalisation on top of hardware.

The Recap

  • LG expands xboom by will.i.am speaker lineup with four models.
  • Stage 501 offers up to 25 hours with 99Wh battery.
  • Products will roll out in global markets in 2026.
