LA28 opens registration for Olympic and Paralympic ticket draw
Sports fans worldwide can now register for a chance to secure tickets for the Los Angeles 2028 Olympic and Paralympic Games, with the first purchase windows scheduled for April.
Registration for the Los Angeles 2028 Olympic and Paralympic Games Ticket Draw opened today at 10 a.m. ET and 7 a.m. PT, giving fans around the world the opportunity to be assigned a time slot to purchase tickets for Olympic and Paralympic events.
The opening of registration follows a gathering at the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum, where more than 300 Olympians and Paralympians representing 28 Games dating back to 1960 assembled, organisers said. “LA28 is ready to welcome the world and the most spectacular athletes from every corner of it for what will be the greatest Games in history,” said Reynold Hoover, chief executive officer of LA28.
Registration runs from January 14 through March 18 and represents the first step in entering the ticket draw. According to LA28, the draw will randomly assign purchase time slots across multiple future ticket drops. Time slots for the first drop will run from April 9 to April 19, with rolling ticket releases beginning in April. Tickets for the Paralympic Games are scheduled to go on sale in 2027.
Tickets for the Opening and Closing Ceremonies will be available as part of the first ticket drop. LA28 said fans only need to register once to be automatically considered for future draws if they are not selected in an earlier round.
A Locals Presale will take place from April 2 to April 6 for residents with billing postal codes in selected Southern California counties, including Los Angeles, Orange, Riverside, Ventura and San Bernardino, as well as Oklahoma, Canadian and Cleveland counties in Oklahoma.
LA28 said its official ticketing service providers are AXS and EVENTIM. Curated hospitality packages from On Location are expected to go on sale in 2026. Visa will serve as the official way to pay.
Pricing has been positioned to broaden access, with tickets starting at $28. LA28 said at least one million tickets will be priced at $28, and around one-third of all tickets will cost less than $100.
Fans can register for the ticket draw at Tickets.LA28.org, the company said.
