Kraken Pro adds 24/7 trading for top xStocks

Kraken Pro has begun offering continuous 24/7 trading for xStocks, extending access to selected tokenized equities for eligible professional traders in more than 140 countries, the company said in a statement.

The move shifts xStocks on Kraken Pro from a five-day, 24-hour schedule to full around-the-clock availability, including weekends and public holidays.

In the first phase, uninterrupted trading is enabled for 10 xStocks on Kraken Pro: TSLAx, QQQx, SPYx, NVDAx, CRCLx, AAPLx, HOODx, MSTRx, GLDx and GOOGLx, which the company describes as “the most active and liquid xStocks on our platform, offering deep markets and tight spreads around the clock.” Kraken Pro plans to add more tokenized stocks and ETFs over time as part of a broader expansion of its xStocks offering.

Kraken Pro said the change is intended to let professional traders “execute strategies, manage risk and respond to global market developments in real time,” and to combine its “professional-grade execution and liquidity” with the on-chain, 24/7 settlement that has applied to xStocks since launch. The service is not available in the U.S. or to U.S. persons, and xStocks “are not nor will be registered with any local securities regulators,” according to the statement.

xStocks are issued by Backed Assets (JE) Limited and offered to eligible Kraken customers via Payward Digital Solutions Ltd., which is licensed by the Bermuda Monetary Authority, the company said, adding that investing in xStocks involves risk and that Kraken does not provide investment advice.
