Kraken has opened trading in Kula (KULA), with trading active as of 16 December.

The company said in a statement that users can add KULA to their Kraken accounts by navigating to Funding, selecting the asset and clicking "Deposit".

The company said deposits must use networks supported by Kraken and warned that deposits sent over other networks will be lost.

The company said Kula is a decentralised impact investment platform that brings community-led governance to real-world projects across emerging markets. It said KULA holders participate in decisions on treasury management, capital allocation and strategic direction, and that the protocol supports projects in regenerative agriculture, commodity-based assets, mobility-focused energy transition and small-scale hydropower.

The company said trading via the Kraken App and Instant Buy will be available once liquidity conditions are met and that geographic restrictions may apply. It added that Kraken will not disclose details of future listings until shortly before launch and that client engagement specialists cannot answer questions about potential future assets.

The Recap

  • Kraken listed Kula (KULA) and opened trading today.
  • Trading went live on 16 December across supported networks.
  • App and Instant Buy follow once liquidity conditions met.
