Kraken, the cryptocurrency exchange, is making traditional finance futures available to eligible EU customers on Kraken Pro, adding 70 contracts across major equity indices, commodities and foreign exchange to its existing derivatives platform.
The offering covers futures on headline indices including the S&P 500 and Nasdaq 100, alongside gold, oil and FX contracts, all accessible through the same account and interface used for Kraken's 290-plus crypto perpetuals.
TradFi futures on Kraken follow the CME Group extended trading schedule, running 23 hours a day, five days a week from Sunday evening through Friday afternoon Eastern Time, giving users longer access than standard equity markets.
Eligible traders can access micro, mini and standard contract sizes depending on the market, and can use the same account to hold positions across both traditional and crypto derivatives.
Kraken says futures offer advantages over spot trading, including the ability to go long or short, use leverage subject to eligibility requirements and limits, hedge crypto exposure, and trade outside standard exchange hours.

To access the product, users must update Kraken Pro, complete an eligibility assessment, and select a TradFi futures market through the platform's derivatives section.
The launch is currently limited to eligible EU customers, and Kraken did not specify when the product might be extended to other regions.
