Kraken is rolling out equities trading on Kraken Desktop, enabling users to trade U.S. stocks and ETFs alongside their cryptocurrency positions in a single account. The launch brings more than 11,000 U.S. equities, commission-free, into Kraken’s multi-asset trading workspace.

The addition aims to unify portfolio management and reduce platform switching for active traders. The company said in an announcement that Kraken Desktop now offers a consolidated view of digital and traditional assets, plus the same advanced tools for equities that traders use for crypto.

Available features listed include commission-free trading for 11,000+ U.S. stocks and ETFs, unified portfolio views, advanced charting, ladder trading and a full suite of order types. “One account. Every asset.” the company said in an announcement.

Brokerage services for equities are provided by Kraken Securities LLC, member FINRA/SIPC. Digital asset services continue to be offered by Payward Interactive Inc. (NMLS ID: 1843762), a FinCEN-registered money services business that is not a member of FINRA/SIPC and is not FDIC insured. The offering is currently available in the U.S. only and may not be available in all states.

The recap

  • Kraken Desktop now supports equities trading within one account.
  • Platform offers access to 11,000+ U.S. stocks and ETFs.
  • Available commission-free; service is currently limited to the U.S.
