Klipboard, a provider of enterprise resource planning (ERP) and operations software, has launched Klipboard AI, embedding artificial intelligence across its platforms for rental, automotive, distribution, manufacturing and field service businesses.
The company says the product is integrated directly into existing workflows rather than offered as a separate add-on, with an emphasis on governance and transparency over experimental features.
Industry-specific functions are already live within parts of the platform, including improved asset visibility for rental businesses, faster parts identification in automotive, and smarter scheduling for field service teams.
Klipboard describes the launch as the first phase of a broader roadmap that will add agent-style capabilities, in which AI systems carry out tasks with limited human input, alongside augmented reality tools designed to support complex operations.
DJ Jones, chief technology and product officer, said: "AI shouldn't sit on the sidelines or add complexity. It should make everyday operations run better."
The system operates within Klipboard's existing security and access-control frameworks, meaning outputs are governed by each user's existing permissions.
Ian Bendelow, chief executive, said: "AI only matters if it delivers real impact."
The company, which is based in Hungerford, Berkshire, frames the release as a shift from AI experimentation toward measurable operational improvement.
