Klarna launches interest-free payments on Google Pay in the UK
The buy now, pay later firm said the integration is a step towards being available at every checkout
Klarna, the Swedish buy now, pay later company, has launched on Google Pay in the UK, allowing users of the digital wallet to select its interest-free payment options at checkout.
The integration will offer Google Pay's UK consumers Klarna's Pay in 3 service, which splits purchases into three interest-free instalments.
Users will be able to manage purchases through the Klarna app, including tracking deliveries, handling returns and managing repayments in one place, the company said.
"This is a big moment for us and a major step towards our goal of being available at every checkout, everywhere," said Raji Behal, Klarna's head of western and southern Europe, UK and Ireland.
Lisa Yokoyama, director of product management at Google Pay, said the partnership reflected the company's aim to give consumers more flexibility in how they pay.
"With people shopping on Google over a billion times a day, this broader footprint provides even more checkout options to help businesses drive tangible growth," Yokoyama said.
