Kering, the French luxury‑goods giant and owner of Gucci, is establishing a Kering Jewelry business unit and has appointed Jean‑Marc Duplaix as its chief executive with immediate effect, the company said in an announcement.
The company said the move brings Kering’s business structure in line with that of rival LVMH Moet Hennessy Louis Vuitton.

The announcement said it will bring Boucheron, Pomellato and other brands "under one roof" to streamline decision‑making, and that the chief executives of Kering’s jewelry houses will report to Duplaix.
Duplaix will retain his responsibilities as chief operating officer for the group while taking on the additional role leading Kering Jewelry, the announcement added.
