JetScale AI, a Montréal-based start-up focused on optimising cloud infrastructure, closed an oversubscribed $5.4 million seed funding round.
The injection of funds arms the firm to accelerate growth and deployment across North America and Europe.
Its platform aims to support infrastructure tasked with handling artificial intelligence workloads facing rising compute demand, and larger cloud requirements among enterprises.
Seed Venture Fund of the Business Development Bank of Canada and Diagram ClimateTech Fund co-led the round, with participation from Telegraph Ventures, Fondaction, Mavrik, Cycle Momentum and Spring Impact Capital.
JetScale AI was co-founded through Diagram’s venture studio model and is led by Mehdi Merai and Gabriel De Lisi, who previously co-founded Dataperformers.
The company says its platform delivers fast diagnostics, prioritized action plans and turnkey remediations to cut cloud waste.
JetScale AI describes a workflow where tasks that once required specialist teams and weeks of work can be completed in minutes by standard IT staff.
“The rapid adoption of our solution by our first clients, combined with a funding round that exceeded our expectations, confirms the relevance of our vision," said CEO Mehdi Merai.

The company says the funding will be used to speed product development, grow personnel and increase deployments across target markets in North America and Europe.
