Jeff Bezos's AI lab has hired Kyle Kozic, an xAI co-founder who had been at OpenAI, the Financial Times reported.
The appointment is part of Project Prometheus, a well-funded startup Bezos leads with former Google executive Vikram Bajaj and which is focused on using artificial intelligence to improve manufacturing, according to the Financial Times.

Kozic will focus on infrastructure at the company, the FT said, joining a team that the report describes as building systems for industrial applications. The article identifies the hire as one among several recent moves of engineers and leaders across AI organisations.
