Warner Bros Discovery will launch HBO Max in the UK and Ireland on 11 March, bringing its streaming service direct to consumers for the first time in the region.

The platform will be available through hbomax.com and via launch partners, including Sky and Amazon's Prime Video.

HBO Max will become the streaming home for TNT Sports in the UK, integrating live sports coverage with the company's entertainment programming.

The service will launch with the complete first season of medical drama The Pitt, with the second season rolling out weekly.

Content at launch includes Euphoria, House of the Dragon and upcoming HBO originals such as Lanterns, which premieres in summer 2026.

"After decades of delighting audiences in the UK and Ireland with our remarkable stories and brands, it's a huge thrill to finally bring it all together on HBO Max, and also offer it directly to all consumers," said JB Perrette, chief executive and president of global streaming and games at Warner Bros Discovery.

The company will offer four monthly entertainment plans starting at £4.99, with a complete entertainment option priced at £5.99 per month.

A Standard plan will cost £9.99 monthly, while a Premium plan is priced at £14.99 per month.

TNT Sports will be available as a standalone plan at £30.99 per month or alongside select HBO Max entertainment packages.

The service will support major devices and platforms and allow up to five user profiles.

Features including offline downloads and parental controls will be available depending on the subscription plan selected.

Pre-registration will open on Apple's App Store and Google Play on 12 March, Warner Bros Discovery said.
