Gumtree is adding delivery management in-platform via ShipStation
Gumtree announces a multi-year deal with ShipStation to add integrated delivery on its UK marketplace.
Gumtree, the UK classifieds web portal, has agreed a multi-year partnership with ShipStation to add new functionality to its marketplace.
It will be using ShipStation’s API to bring customers selling items the option to add integrated delivery capabilities.
The move accompanies Gumtree’s shift from a primarily offline service into a fully transactional online marketplace, the company said.
Gumtree is aiming to capture growth in the UK 'recommerce' market, and the digital platform cited research which projects that the British 'recommerce' market will be worth as much as £12.4 billion by 2028.
The new technology integration lets sellers manage delivery directly within Gumtree through ShipStation’s API, providing a single connection to multiple carriers, carrier performance management, automated label creation and real-time tracking.
