Grounded 2 adds new Garden biome in first major update
The Toxic Tangle introduces spreading corruption, new enemies and gameplay systems
Grounded 2’s first major content update, The Toxic Tangle, is available now and expands Brookhollow Park with a new Garden biome and new gameplay systems.
The studio said in a statement the update introduces a spreading corruption called Tang that stains soil, seeps into water and affects creatures, and that the release adds new armor, weapons, trinkets, building sets and enemies.
Players can now ride the Ladybug Buggy, a heavy-duty mount equipped with a pressurized water cannon, a ramming charge and passive health regeneration. New enemies include coordinated Earwigs, Potato Beetles and the Woolly Aphid, while returning threats such as the Masked Stranger and the Snake Colossus remain in the park.

Mutations are reorganised into active and passive types, with passives applying automatically based on weapon loadout. The builder toolkit gains new and updated kits including the Pumpkin Set, a refreshed Mushroom Kit, Scale Roof Set, updated Acorn Stairs and requested floor hatches; MIX.R and O.R.C. wave challenges are live. The Founder’s Pack has new decorative unlocks such as the High Roller’s Dice Bag and the Champion’s Banner, the studio added.
The studio said the update is available now in Game Preview for Xbox Series X|S, Xbox on PC and Xbox Cloud, and in early access on Steam, and that an updated roadmap outlines forthcoming features including Playgrounds for community creators.
