Google showcases Gemini as personal AI in post–Super Bowl campaign
‘New Home’ ad and digital shorts highlight real-time image editing and personalised assistance
Google has launched a national campaign for its Gemini AI assistant, led by an in-game advert titled New Home that aired to audiences following the Super Bowl in Santa Clara and to viewers in Italy.
The main spot follows a mother and son imagining a new house by uploading photos of empty rooms and using simple text prompts to edit them in real time.
The pair also revisit old memories using Google Photos, with the ad showing how Gemini can bring personal content into creative projects.
Shorter digital videos in the campaign demonstrate everyday use cases, such as using Gemini to find a car’s fuse box or visualise a haircut before committing to it.
Users can link Gemini to their Google Photos, Maps and Gmail accounts, enabling the assistant to incorporate personal information and memories into tasks. The company called Gemini a “more personal, proactive AI assistant.”
