Google has published a new collection of writing on artificial intelligence and education, bringing together six articles that set out how the company sees AI fitting into classrooms and learning systems.

The collection, titled AI, learning and education, presents AI as something that should be built responsibly, with learning science at its core, and positioned as a practical tool to improve outcomes for students and teachers. Google said the aim is to move beyond hype and focus on how AI can genuinely support learning for everyone.

The pieces include contributions from senior Google figures such as Ben Gomes and Lila Ibrahim, alongside a message from chief executive Sundar Pichai. In his contribution, Pichai said Google is offering its Gemini for Education tools to high schools across the US and committing $150m in grants to support AI education initiatives.

“Google is offering Gemini for Education to American high schools, and committing $150 million in grants to support AI education,” Pichai said.

The collection also highlights early experiments with AI in real classrooms. One article covers a six-month pilot with the Northern Ireland Education Authority’s C2k initiative, which tested how Gemini and other tools could be integrated into schools. Another report from Miami looks at how teachers and students are already using Google’s AI tools in day-to-day learning.

Google said the collection is intended to share practical lessons from these pilots, while reinforcing its view that AI in education should be shaped by educators, grounded in evidence and introduced with clear safeguards in place.
