Google rolls out Gemini 3 Flash in Search
Gemini 3 Flash becomes the default AI Mode model worldwide and Pro models expand in the U.S.
Google is rolling out Gemini 3 Flash globally in Search's AI Mode.
According to the company, Gemini 3 Flash is now the default model for AI Mode worldwide and improves reasoning, tool use and multimodal understanding while maintaining response speed.
“Gemini 3 Flash brings the incredible reasoning of our Gemini 3 model at the speed you expect of Search,” Robby Stein wrote. The company said Gemini 3 Pro is now available in Search for all users in the U.S.; selecting “Thinking with 3 Pro” in the AI Mode model menu provides in‑depth help, dynamic visual layouts, interactive tools and simulations generated on the fly. It added that access to Nano Banana Pro (Gemini 3 Pro Image) in AI Mode is expanding for more U.S. users via the “Create Images Pro” option.
The company said Google AI Pro and Ultra subscribers receive higher usage limits for the AI creation tools in Search.
