Google has launched its '2025 Year in Search. But, don't panic, it isn't a Spotify-esque 'wrapped' presentation of your personal search history for the past twelve months.
The search engine has, instead, published its '2025 Year in Search' film, via Google Trends, which showcases moments from the past year that people around the world looked up on Search.
The video focuses on how people “reimagined the future and were inspired by the past” through the topics and events they searched for, Google explained in an announcement.
The film features cultural trends such as Labubus and “KPop Demon Hunters,” alongside major sports moments including India’s historic Women’s Cricket World Cup victory.
It also highlights community responses to natural disasters, including “heartwarming community resilience in response to the LA fires and Texas floods,” Google noted.
It says the film also points to “first-of-their-kind AI breakthroughs in farming and healthcare,” reflecting interest in new technology.
