Google Labs is running Disco, a Gemini 3 powered 'discovery vehicle' designed to reimagine browsing.
Google Labs is testing Disco, a browsing experiment that includes GenTabs built with Gemini 3.
The company said in a statement that Disco is a discovery vehicle designed to reimagine browsing and building for the modern web.
GenTabs examines open tabs and chat history to generate interactive web applications, Google explained. It said users can describe the tool they need and refine it using natural language, and that generative elements link back to original web sources.
The company said early testers are using GenTabs to create bespoke apps for tasks such as meal planning, planning a trip to Japan to see cherry blossoms, and helping elementary students learn about the planets.
Google has opened a waitlist to download Disco and try GenTabs starting on macOS.
It said testing will begin with a small cohort and that tester feedback will guide future development; the company added the most compelling ideas from Disco may be integrated into larger Google products.
