Google expands Gemini tools with new personalisation and creative features
App update introduces AI-driven browsing, video generation and test preparation tools
Google has introduced a series of new tools and capabilities to its Gemini app, aimed at enhancing user personalisation, creative output and productivity.
The company said the update, issued via the Gemini Drops platform, includes Personal Intelligence, a feature that connects information across Google applications to deliver tailored assistance. Users can choose which apps to link and manage personalisation controls at any time.
Gemini in Chrome now includes an auto-browse function designed to automate tasks such as booking appointments and organising events, while maintaining user control.
Chrome has also been updated with shopping tools to help users research products and identify complementary items based on open browser tabs.
Google said the Veo 3.1 video generation tool now allows users to create expressive videos from images, with enhanced dialogue and storytelling based on reference photos.

The company also added new standardised test support, including full-length SAT practice exams, performance feedback and study advice.
