Goertek unveils XR portfolio at CES
Goertek presented an "XR New Year Package" of reference designs, AI glasses, MR headsets and optical modules at CES in Las Vegas.
Goertek displayed a range of extended-reality reference designs and optical solutions under its "XR New Year Package".
It included the Rubis binocular full-color AR reference design, the Spinel lightweight AI glasses, the Euler1.5 MR reference design and a lineup of AR and VR optics and sensing products.
In an announcement, Goertek highlighted that Rubis pairs a Goeroptics full-color etched waveguide display in a vertical-format optical module with a heterogeneous Tri-Chip architecture integrating MCU, ISP and NPU to optimise the pipeline from camera capture to final display.
The distributed compute approach supports persistent, low-power object-detection models on a dedicated NPU, meanwhile, an EMG neural wristband is designed to enable gesture control, with the company citing a reported recognition accuracy exceeding 90 percent.
The Spinel reference design weighs 35g, supports 4K (4032×3024) photo capture and 1080p/30fps continuous video recording for up to one hour, and uses EIS and HDR for imaging, Goertek said.
The wearable tech firm described Spinel as using continuous, low-power environmental capture to enable proactive AI perception.
The Rox Vision accessory is a modular snap-on AI glasses reference design kept under 15g that houses a 105° ultra-wide camera, high-density PCB packaging, a Goertek SBS speaker system and MEMS microphones for voice interaction.
Separately, an Ultra-Lightweight MR reference design reduces core headset mass to approximately 100g while pairing a 1.35-inch 4K Micro-OLED display with a 3P Pancake optical module to deliver about 38 Pixels Per Degree across a 100-degree field of view and integrating VST and 6DoF.
The company also demonstrated a fully bonded silicon carbide etched waveguide 0.65mm thick weighing 3.5g, and the F25Ge full-color etched waveguide paired with a 0.2cc Micro-LED reaching peak intraocular brightness of 4,200 nits.
The Recap
- Goertek unveiled an XR portfolio at CES in Las Vegas.
