Gen Z is reshaping workplace communication toward visual and creative tools, that's according to the folks at Canva.
The design app's newly announced 'State of Visual Communication' report noted that 91% of Gen Z believe visuals communicate ideas better than text and that nearly half of organisations still rely on text-heavy processes and outdated tools.
The Canva report said those mismatches create inefficiencies and slower decision-making.

It added that in the US, companies spend $65,000 per creative team member every year on visual content creation, with costs driven by outdated processes rather than a lack of creative ability.
Canva added that many Gen Z professionals view AI as a natural extension of their creative process and are eager to build creative skills with AI. It also claims that leaders who invest in visual fluency, intuitive tools and creative capability will gain a competitive advantage.
