Facebook Marketplace is rolling out Meta's artificial intelligence (AI) tools to speed listings, automate seller-buyer messaging and simplify shipping, the company said in an announcement.
The move targets a large, active marketplace: Facebook Marketplace has connected buyers and sellers for a decade and hosts more than 3.5 million listings posted every single day in the US and Canada, the announcement says.

"You can now upload your item images and let Meta AI do the rest — automatically creating a draft listing, filling in details, and even suggesting a price based on similar items listed in your area." the company said in an announcement. The feature generates draft listings from photos and proposes local prices to help sellers list faster.
Meta also adds managed shipping and AI-assisted messaging. Sellers can generate prepaid shipping labels in a few clicks and track orders from a dashboard. AI auto replies draft messages using listing details such as description, availability, pickup location and price. Profiles will display Meta AI-generated summaries showing Facebook tenure, number of friends, listing history and seller ratings to increase transparency. The company said more updates will follow.
