Expedia Group expands Affirm partnership for exclusive Buy Now, Pay Later travel payments
Affirm becomes sole BNPL provider across Expedia, Hotels.com and Vrbo in US
Expedia Group and Affirm have expanded their multi-year partnership, naming Affirm the exclusive provider of Buy Now, Pay Later (BNPL) payment options for lodging and package bookings across Expedia, Hotels.com and Vrbo in the United States.
In a joint statement, the companies said the expanded agreement will also bring Affirm to select properties in Canada in the coming weeks.
Eligible travellers will receive real-time approval and can choose personalised monthly payment plans of up to 24 months.
In the US, eligible users will have access to 0% APR financing on three- or six-month plans.
“Travel inspires us and creates memories; when travelers have clarity and confidence in selecting their payment options, they are empowered to pursue meaningful, once-in-a-lifetime experiences,” said Jing Yang, Vice President of Global Payments at Expedia Group.
Pat Suh, Senior Vice President of Revenue at Affirm, said: “In our decade of partnering with Expedia Group, we’ve seen that travelers are increasingly including consideration of ‘how to pay’ with ‘where to go’ as they plan and book trips.”
Expedia Group joins nearly 420,000 global merchants offering Affirm at checkout, including Amazon, Costco, Seat Geek and REVOLVE.

The companies said US BNPL rates range from 0% to 36% APR and Canadian rates from 0% to 31.99% APR. Payment terms depend on the purchase amount and are subject to eligibility checks. A down payment may also be required.
The agreement strengthens Affirm’s presence in the travel sector and reflects growing demand for flexible financing options among consumers booking high-value experiences.
