Deepgram has raised $130 million in a Series C, setting a $1.3 billion valuation, and funding the expansion of its real-time voice AI platform.

The round, led by AVP, also included all Deepgram's major existing investors including Alkeon, In-Q-Tel, Madrona, Tiger, Wing, Y Combinator and funds and accounts managed by BlackRock, the voice AI firm confirmed.

It also added new investors such as Alumni Ventures and Princeville Capital, and, 'strategic' backers like Twilio, ServiceNow Ventures, SAP and Citi Ventures, and academic investors from the University of Michigan and Columbia University.

The company, in an announcement, said more than 1,300 organizations build Voice AI functionality with Deepgram APIs, which provide speech understanding, speech generation, analytics, orchestration and fully autonomous voice agents.

In particular, it highlighted proprietary models and products including Aura-2 text-to-speech, Nova-3 speech-to-text, Flux conversational speech recognition, the Voice Agent API and Saga voice operating system.

“Much like Stripe delivered the API platform underpinning the payments economy, we believe Deepgram is poised to deliver the API platform underpinning the emerging trillion-dollar B2B Voice AI economy,” said Elizabeth de Saint-Aignan, General Partner at AVP.

Deepgram, meanwhile, also announced the acquisitio of OfOne, an AI-native voice platform for restaurants and quick-service drive-thru operations.

The OfOne team joins Deepgram, and the technology will anchor 'Deepgram for Restaurants' with additional functionality and expanded integrations expected to be delivered in the coming months.

“We are incredibly proud to join the Deepgram team," said Will Edwards, formerly CEO at OfOne, and now GM of Deepgram for Restaurants.
