Deepgram opens up EU version of its AI voice API
Deepgram has opened an EU-hosted API endpoint for running voice AI workloads entirely within the European Union.
Deepgram, the vocal AI specialist, has made its EU-hosted API endpoint generally available, allowing teams to run voice AI workloads entirely within the European Union.
The company, in a statement, said this means it can now provide full EU data residency for compliance-driven workloads, lower latency for users across Europe, and no additional pricing or activation requirements.
According to the statement, the EU endpoint offers the same reliability, scale, and feature parity as the standard API, excluding Whisper models. It supports Speech-to-Text via /v1/listen and /v2/listen, Text-to-Speech via /v1/speak, Voice Agent via /v1/agent/converse, and Text Intelligence via /v1/read.
Migrating requires replacing api.deepgram.com with api.eu.deepgram.com; existing API keys and SDK integrations work automatically and no new credentials are required.
The company said the endpoint keeps processing fully inside the EU legal boundary and provides in-region inference to reduce latency.
The company added the GA milestone builds on Deepgram's global expansion, including Dedicated single-tenant deployments and multi-region hosting options, and that the endpoint is live and ready for production with no waitlist, activation step, or changes to billing or authentication.
