Deepgram used International Women’s Day to showcase women building the future of artificial intelligence and voice technology, the company said in an announcement, highlighting contributions across engineering, design, product and business teams.
The announcement frames representation as a practical requirement for better systems, arguing that diverse perspectives improve product design, accessibility and real-world performance of voice AI tools.
Deepgram quotes multiple staff members on that theme. Ingrid Elise Dorai-Rekaa, Staff Product Designer at Deepgram, said: “Working in AI is exciting because we’re building technologies that will change how people create, communicate, and solve problems. Being a woman in this space is a reminder that the teams building that future should reflect the diversity of the people who will use it.”

We belong here, and we’re just getting started.” Other contributors describe creative and operational routes into STEM and the human dimensions of building AI products.
Deepgram concludes by urging more women to explore STEM education and technical careers, saying the AI industry is still young and its future will be shaped by those who enter it today.
